I have a feeling that the OP asked for the thread to be pulled... i find it doubtul that LIFs would have a problem with it... it was really tame in comparison to some of the debates we've had in the past on LIW/LIFs

Well all I know is that none of us have the ability to pull threads and the boards are being monitored to some extent...and many of the argumentative posts are pulled...by LIF...with no request needed.

I want to know who decided to pull it. I know Ron and Liz have more of a staff now. We used to debate far more controversial topics on LIW and the thread would never get pulled. Come on now.
But then what can you expect from a board that won't let you get pi$$ed off!!!

A person who originates a thread can FM LIFs/LIWs and ask for it to be pulled
I have done it in the past..
Of course its up to the discretion of the moderators/owners of this site to comply
And yes the moderators can pull threads at their own discretion with noone asking them to..
Just find it a bit "odd" that this particular thread was pulled, it truly was "tame" in comparison to some I've seen go on for PAGESSSSSSS (and often those threads being personal)

No- that I totally agree with. But if someone is going to pull a thread because people disagree- then I don't want to be involved. One of the things I love about this boards is the debating- people bring up new points- and educate each other. SOmetimes you won't change my mind- but interesting points are raised. If all we can do is mindless chatter, then, it gets boring.
