in our formal living room I have a vase with flowers
in our family room its an ottoman so nothing
in our sunroom we have a plant and then some home mags on the shelf underneath but there more for "looks"

I have a large glass, wood and steel rod irion square shaped coffee table.
I have some photo albums on the bottom. And ontop I have decorative things. Like candle holders, crystal thingys, pumpkin candle holders and some scattered leaves.
ETA: Sandstone coasters and 50s style coasters....

Prior to my LOs, I had a candle holder and our wedding album...now there are a lot of fingerprints, an easel and whatever else DS can put on top!

There is nothing on my coffee/end tables daily because I hate clutter.
However I am in the process of shopping for 2 lamps for my end tables.
When company comes over I usually light a candle on the coffee table.

I keep some decorative candles, an ashtray for DH  , and the remotes. Then when I get home from work there's mail and drinks and my purse, keys, etc. It is a breeding ground for clutter.

a candle or decorative tray that I put the remotes in and a coffee table book. I usually switch up my coffee table books. I have an archaeology book, a kurt cobain book and a St. Lucia (where we spent out HM) book that rotate. I tried havinh my album out but I was paranoid that it would somehow get damaged so that didnt last long

Currently: my feet.
Usually: a candle, our wedding album, sometimes a book or two and the remote control.
When I have guests: coasters, little plates and appetizers.

on top of my table is just a candle centerpiece and the remote controls (there may be an occasional piece of mail there).
However underneat it (has a shelf) i have a basket w/some important papers (some coupons) and then we have a few albums there too. Try to keep it clutter free!

coasters, glass hurricane vase w rocks & candle, tv remotes. ours has a drawer and lower shelf where i pop magazines, etc.
