My mom is not alive, but I refer to her as Nanny b/c that is what she referred to her mom as to my brother and I (her mom had passed before I was born too.).
MIL is Gramma Rainy ( her name is Lorraine.)
FIL is Pop-Pop and my fas is Grampa.
Like someone else, DS was the last grandchild on both sides so those were the names in use.

I'm Greek, so mom will be yiayia and dad will be papou.
MIL will be grandma or grammy I guess depending on what LO can say and taking DH's lead.
Same!! Both sets will be yiayia and pappou. Will get a little confusing but that's what they're grandchildren call then now anyways

DD calls my mom 'mama'
I don't like it, it's supposed to be a longer name in Indian but my mom kept insisting that she won't say it all and she kept it short to 'mama'...not my favorite thing but I'm over it...mostly. I should have insisted she call her 'Amma' (sounds like uma) instead...but whatever 
She calls DH's parents Gramma and Grampa

She will be Grandma... so will MIL.
My dad will be Grandpa... FIL wants to be called "Pap" and I hate it. All I can think of is a pap smear when I hear it.

My nieces call my parents grandma Sue and grandpa Larry so that will probably sick.....I would have thought nana and papa but my brother set the names.....
with dh's family, I have no idea.... he has a nanny so she'll stay nanny, which means his mom won't be nanny.... he also had step dad and step mom so we shall see.....

My mom wanted mema but my DD called her mimi instead so thats what it is. Love that its her own thing. Now this DC will call her the same.
My ss calls my mil nana ann because he had 2 nanas. So thats what DD calls her and so will this DC. I don't mind nana but it took awhile to get used to them saying her first name too. It grew on me and now she is nana ann to all the neighborhood kids :)

Hahaha! Funny thing is that MIL lives in Hawaii but is not Hawaiian at all. DH is Hawaiian but on his dad's side. MIL is completely Chinese but will not be called Popo b/c that's her mom. We tease her and call her "PJ" or "popo junior". She claims she "feels" Hawaiian and has also put herself in charge of picking our kids' middle names which she has to "dream".

We have no idea what language it is, but we were told it means something like Earth Mother - we have no clue where it came from!

Boy I have A LOT of grandparents. Thankfully my DD knows them all and whos who.

DS calls my mom Grandma (dad, Grandpa) and he calls my MIL Bebe, bc her first and middle name starts with a B (FIL, PopPop).

Nana and nanny to both mom and MIL.
Grandpa to FIL and Grump to my dad (he's not grumpy at all he just said it when he was like 10months and it is sticking) he also calls them poppop sometimes

I think they will both be "Grandma." My sisters son calls our mom "Gamma" which might stick. Our dad is "Gampa." So cute.
MIL's BF is Poppy.
I hate that my nephews call my MIL "Florida Grandma"

My mom is Mum. My oldest nephew started it and it's the cutest thing.
Mil is grandma. She tried to be called "ga-ma". Which was annoying so the girls call her grandma.
