What does M/S feel like?

I know its probably a weird question but is it different then a stomach virus. Do you feel dizzy, nausous etc or do you just vomit? I'm so scared of this and I would like to know what to expect. Sorry if I sound so ignorant, but you guys are the only ones who know about this baby

It could be any of these: feel dizzy, nausous etc or do you just vomit, or all and in some people....they dont experience any.

I didnt physically get sick. I did get naseous and have some food aversions and it didnt last very long.

Most symptoms start around the 6th wk as well and unfortunately last a bit too.

when i had it - it felt almost like i was sea sick. just very nausous, dizzy and weak - the only time i felt okay was when i was sleeping!!!

I only actually vomitted twice (so far). I have food & smell aversions like crazy though, and they trigger the mild to moderate and lingering nausea. Sweet Mint lifesavers have been my saving grace.

Oh girls..thank you so much..i have a phobia and I'm trying to be brave LOL..every day I'm like 3 more days till 6 weeks 2 more days etc..i'm trying to get it out of my head!! My husband thinks i'm nuts but he's scared too because i'm such a baby when it comes to stuff like that LOL..

Thats what I keep doing..reminding myself that millions of people go through it and its all worth it in the end :)

For me it seriously felt like the stomach virus that never went away! It was horrible from week 6-14 and maybe mildly the next few weeks. Nothing helped at all. I am actually a little fearful to go through that again anytime soon.

For me it was everything from a queasy feeling to "Oh God, I can't eat this - and I can't watch you eat it either."

I found the best way to describ m/s so EVERYONE can sympathize with you is the worst hangover ever that doesn't go away for weeks!!

Dizziness, nausea, vomitting, smell of certain foods sending you gagging.

Once i described it as a hangover, everyone, including men, go ohhhhh, that stinks!

For me - I had food aversions that made me nauseous, but I did puke nonstop for weeks on end... morning, noon, and night... sometimes you are fine and a smell will set it off... for me, I'd feel fine, then think about eating, and throw up. Or, I'd be fine, begin to eat, and then just know it was coming back up - no nausea per se, just coming back up in spades....

I'm not gonna lie - it was pretty horrendous...

for me it started around 6 weeks... in the beginning it was nausea 24/7... then between 8-9 weeks I started throwing up every morning after breakfast and I still am I keep telling myself 2 more weeks and it will be better

Mine started at like 6 1/2 weeks and like sweetness says its like a friggin hangover. I feel like crap. I am not throwing up but i am constantly nauseated. Certain spices just make it worse. Like garlic.

Your stomach also feels wierd the whole time. U feel dizzzy and the food in your stomach just doesnt sit right. Its a horrible feeling. But i only have 4 more weeks of this. Just in time for my Carribean Cruise. I pray i pray.

LOL..i'm already scared..did it hit you suddenly..like you woke up one morning and you felt like crap or was it gradual?

aughh its awful! I throw up in the AM and then have nausua ALL day and night, the only relief i have is when i sleep or eat, but as soon as i am done eating it returns, everything smells bad and foods taste wierd, i sure hope it passes soon, i am 9 1/2 weeks, so i am praying in like 3 weeks when i end the 1st trimester, it will subside. Mine started to get bad when i was around 6-61/2 weeks. I have been trying to noit take off from work either, thank god my supervisors have been great and paying me to do my notes at home, so i can leave like an hour early

I have not thrown up, but I do feel tired and weak all the time. I also get nauseous and I have just recently started having food aversions...I'm starving, but nothing appeals to me!

I just felt like I had a constant hangover.

I haven't had any with this baby, but with my first, I thought I had a stomach virus until it lasted for 4-5 days...then it was obviously something else. Some days it felt like a stomach virus, other times, just nausea [followed by vomiting]. Each every person is different. In fact, there were times I'd feel super, I'd eat somethinig that normally stayed down and the moment I took a bite, up it came.

I had the worse m/s ever! I was sick for 2 months, and couldn't keep anything down. It would start at 6am and last untill 11pm, then I felt fine and was able to eat my dinner.....I would wake up feeling so sick and have cold sweats it was the worse.
