Is it weird? You know something like "John Michael Scott Smith."

I know the 2nd name really isn't used much and that's ok - its more because the name is meaningful to me. DH and I already agreed on a first and middle name (which also has meaning and we both like.)

ETA: That's not the name above, just an example.

I thought you were naming him Jack William. I dont think 3 names are weird. If the name means something, i say go for it.

Oh, BTW, how is your mom doing with tomorrow coming? I have been thinking of how she is since tom. is going to be kind of a depressing day for her.

Re: What do you think of having 2 middle names?

Both my Mom and my youngest sister have two middle names. Both of them were given family names (Timon for my Mom and Kehoe for my sister) because they were going to be the last children born that generation. I don't think it is strange at all Chat Icon

My nephews name is Brennan Michael Anthony (and last name). Each name has a significance........Brennan (my mothers maiden name) Michael (my brothers name) Anthony (my fathers name). He really goes by Brennan Michael but it was nice that they put them all in there.

The twins have 2 middle names..named for their maternal and paternal grandmothers and Faith & Hope b/c of the road it took to get them here..

Alexis Deanna Faith & Jaedyn Luisa Hope

<-------- Caden James Aron "hbugal"

James b/c I wanted to be able to call him "CJ" although we dont now that he's here...and Aron for DH's grandfather..

Re: What do you think of having 2 middle names?

I do. I have 2 middle names. It was common when and where I was born in Europe. Now it's more common to only have one.

Re: What do you think of having 2 middle names?

Speaking from experience (I have 2 middle names) I don't think it is a bad thing especially when it has family meaning behind it, but it just can become a confusing matter when it comes to certain things.

I never use my 2nd mid-name on things, yet when I got my permit at 16, the put both middle initials on there (b/c it is on my birth certificate) so from then on, all my car information (title, loan, registration, insurance) had to have 2 middle initials. My SS card did NOT show both middle initials, so when I went to change my name after I got married that caused "issues" at the SS office. I had to show them my birth certificate, and marriage license (which only had one middle name, although the application had both)

When you look at my credit report I have my name listed about 8-10 different ways now that I am married!! Chat Icon

Re: What do you think of having 2 middle names?

I have two middle names. And let me tell you, it's a mouthful! Chat Icon My middle names are after my grandmothers. In everyday life, I don't use them both nor do I use 2 initials on forms; I will just use the 1st one. On all of my diplomas [elementary school, high school and Law school] and my marriage certificate and social security card, I have all of my names listed.

My full name is Gabrielle Rose Luisa N....! Chat Icon

Re: What do you think of having 2 middle names?

I had thought about this for a boy name. We can't use my DH name as a junior (long story) but I had thought of using a unique first name and DH's first and middle names as the baby's middle name. Baby ended up being a girl so - maybe next time.
