what do you think of anonymous posters?
when i created this account i did it anonymously and didn't post my name because my DH (FH at the time) were TTC and i didn't want anyone to know.
we are still TTC, so until then, i want to stay as "L"
what do you think of people who kind of become regulars on the site, but don't reveal who they "really" are? does it bother you?

I can't stand when people who are regular posters create fake accounts just to bash someone. That's the only time it bothers me.

I am a non namer.
I have an old account, actually- this account is my prego account. So there are people who know me.
When I get to know a new person, they will learn my name.
I don't think it's important for strangers to know my name.

I have no problem, as long as they aren't doing anything malicious. If they don't want to reveal their real name, that's fine. A lot of people don't want their real name on a public forum.
People who create a 2nd account to talk about something they don't want connected to their main account is fine also, as long as they aren't attacking anyone. I fully understand not wanted people to know who you are if you have very personal issues you want to discuss.

I seriously don't give it 2 thoughts. I don't spend a of time "thinking" about LIF...but when I'm on it, I have fun and do enjoy reading about what's going on with people.

Not really true! I've never met anyone, actually, and I've never been to a get-together and I feel like some people here are "friends." Whether I was engaged at the same time as someone or got married at the same place or we have the same thoughts on a celeb, you can certainly develop positive feelings toward others here, without really "knowing" each other.

My memory for names is so bad, I don't remember all the "real" names of people I know and see in person...  At least in here, their on-line name is always there.

I really don't care as long as they weren't doing something mean.
I came on here when I found out I was pregnant and couldn't tell my friends (it was too early), but wanted an anonynous forum to discuss it in.
I have very few ties in RL to LIF, but one of my friends knew I was pregnant before I told her because someone here thought I was her friend and told her. It ended up fine, but I could understand if someone had something more sensitive, they wouldn't want people in RL to know.

i come on here for entertainment - to get ideas, opinions, bash celebs, etc.
i don't think it's necessary for anyone to know my name or what i look like - i like my anonymity because i can really say anything i want without it ever biting me in the butt!

well, technically I am anonymous, b/c my name is not in my profile...but lots 'o people know me. and those that don't, don't have to try to hard to find out.
there is no guarantee a name someone gives is a real name anyway....there are no guarantees on the internet.
