I wasn't even smart enough to think to do this! However, I'm a terrible "secret poster". Before I knew I was pregnant, I posted under a different name because I know people on the site, and I didn't want to start a huge hulabaloo before I knew I was actually prego. Well, then when I knew I was prego, I wanted to wait until I was 12 weeks, but I outted myself by posting under my real name by accident. In the two seconds that the post was up, people had already read it and knew it was me.  I'm just not meant to keep anything a secret I guess

Clearly because so many people would post on your own anonymous thread doing so doesn't show you aren't the poster, so it doesn't make any sense to do it. It would actually clue me in to the possibility that it might be someone, esp. if it is the PG board or whatever.
