I love the friendships I've made!!! They are the strongest women I have ever met! We've laughed together and cried together, and I know we'll always be there for each other.

I like all of the perspectives from all of the various people here. Whether it's good or bad, it's useful to see other people's points of view.
There is a lot of useful stuff posted here, and there is also some very funny stuff posted.

Especially in the last few days, the sense of support and community has been overwhelming. It's one of the many reasons I come here.

i appreciate the different perspectives that people have. whether or not i necessaarily agree, i find it interesting to see what people have to say and why.
People also seem generally kind and seem to care about people's well-being.

DH and I moved to Long Island a little over a year ago and we don't have many family or friends on Long Island. LIF has been a great resource for us when trying to get questions answered that we normally would have asked our family/friends (i.e. stuff about contractors, home ownership). Also, the pregnancy forum has been a great support since our first child is due in the next 2-3 weeks!

ditto! im sure alot of outsiders think that we just all have no lives cause we're all on here so much. but they dont realize that this site is like a support system!

I couldn't agree more! I also love that a lot of us started out our journeys on LIW together and have now moved over to LIF. It's nice to be a part of such a supportive community!

There is almost always someone on here who can answer a question I have or give me information I am looking for.
Mostly, though, I love it because there are some people who make me laugh so hard, I almost wet my pants.

I enjoy most of the people, I love looking at all the LIF babies and I enjoy having a place to talk to other parents going through the same things I am. I also love sharing my love of jelly shoes with a select few members of LIF.
