I'm a HUGE proponent of 'me time.' Especially since I'm a SAHM, I feel like I don't 'get out' often!
I do:
-guitar lessons 1x a week
-yoga 1x a week
-drinks, or trivia, or karaoke with friends 1-2x a month
-mani/pedi 1x a month
-about to start making pottery next month
I would $UCK as a mom if I didn't get out and about.

Team sports (I'm a broken record with it).
Spring/Summer: beach vball and softball
Fall/Winter: indoor vball
sports are roughly 2x/week
Also girl's night once/month
*We only have one kid.
I need to get on a team!! I'm going to look into it.

I get my hair done every 6 weeks. I'm gone 1.5-2 hours. That's about all that I do for myself. Even shopping I do online.
I haven't gone to dinner with my girlfriends in over a year. I keep in touch with two of them over texts. I'm kind of pathetic.
This is me too. Honesty, Thursday night television after DD is asleep is my "fun"
this is all me as well!!!

what do you do for yourself- for fun?
Once a month I have a girls night with my 2 best friends- neither has kids, and they are so good about coming over & seeing my kids and understanding that I am a mom. I love that once a month we do something that has nothing to do with my kids.
In the spring/summer/early fall I will go for a pedi twice a month.
I grocery shop on Saturday mornings while DH is home with the boys. It is so peaceful, I look forward to it.
DH & I also try to go out once a month with friends or just the two of us.
It seems like a lot, but DH also gets plenty of alone time while I am home with the boys. And, of course, we have plenty of family time too. It's sometimes hard to find the balance, but I was determined, from back before I had kids, that I would make the effort to do it.

I have a 2.5 month old so as of now I enjoy the occasional bathroom break and shower

once a month or so I will meet up with friends for coffee
go shopping/run errands on the weekends (yeah funny that this is something i do for fun)
yeah thats pretty much it haha.

I do go to the gym fairly regularly, but I've been a major slacker. I'm supposed to be there right now actually.  I try to do something with my friends as often as possible. Sometimes it's once a month or two, other times a bunch of things come up at once and it can be multiple times in a month.

You two are making me feel better, this thread was depressing me since I rarely get out. DS is a horrible sleeper so even when I do go out it's always hanging over my head that DH is probably going out of his mind at home with DS (he's near impossible for anyone but me to get back to sleep ) and I'm always in a rush to get back home.
I hope this changes soon. I know it's not good to never have time to yourself.

no real me time.. if there's some time and 'nothing' needs to get done, depending on what DD is doing, I just bum around or nap. If DH is around and she is willing to let me be out of sight, I hit the gym. I used to love, love going to the gym and running but by the time I get ready to go out the door, there;s a meltdown or a tantrum

DD started 4K this school year, which is only for 2.5 hours in the morning, 5 days a week. I use that time to go to the gym. I bring my 3yo DS with me, and he spends that time in the gym daycare (they have a FABULOUS daycare). I usually get there 5-6 days a week. GYM RAT!!
Other than that, I NEVER get time alone. And I only started back at the gym 6 months ago. Alone time was non-existent before that.

My MIL takes DS at least once a month for an overnight so DH and I can have a date night. Then DH and I each try to take at least one night a month to ourselves to see firends (girls night/guys night).
DS also goes to bed early, so after he goes to bed i'll use that time for 'me' time. Have a drink, catch up on shows, etc.

Unfortunately, not much, DH is spending all of his non-working time on his dissertation, so whatever I want/need to do (shopping, girls get together, etc.), DD is in tow. Last haircut was 5 months ago, have not had nails done since before DD was born, a year ago. It is very tough. I savor my bathroom time!

I have a 3.5 y/o and a 1 month old so it has changed. Every 2 weeks I get my nails done. I honestly am leaving them on so it forces me to get out of the house and do something for myself! My mom babysits once a month so we can go to dinner or a morning movie. I used to watch my DVR's shows when DD went to bed, but now it's a mad dash to get both kids to sleep by 8:30 so I can be asleep by 9:00. I'm just too exhausted!
