What did everyone get their MIL?
I've been under the weather and have become extremely behind on my shopping. I am down to about 10 people left to get things for b/t my family and DHs. I need something to get my MIL and can't figure it out. We were going to get her a remote car starter but they said she'd need some other system over-ride thing and I decided she's better off getting it so she knows exactly what she's getting.
So any thoughts? She's reitred, 64 years old and very active in crafts, gardening, volunteering, st. vincent depaul and church. She's been running herself ragged since my FIL had his heart attack but wouldn't want anything massage/spa related- she doesn't like people touching her. TIA!!!

i got mine assorted jams 
i told DH to pick her up that circle diamond necklace from Kay or Macy's, but he didn't. So, assorted jams it is.

we got a joint gift for her and FIL...they needed a new tv stand for the living room. and also we got her a sweater and some chocolates.
i was trying to find italian dvd's for them but i cant find any stores that sell them. only online!

I finally had it with having to get all the presents for my family AND for DH's family so he was on his own this year.
I think he got her a collector plate.

We got her a digital photo frame and a Vera Bradley bag with matching accessories, plus some smaller things like Sudoku books and stuff.

MIne is getting a set of perfume miniature 'cus she's hinted at it, and an Estee Lauder travel toiletry kit.
I think if yours like gardening perhaps you can get a nice plant or something garden related? Perhaps a very nice bonsai tree?

I tried to find a personality, but didn't have luck.
We bought her gc's to DD, Waldbaums and Walgreens. She always claims poverty  and says she doesn't have enough to buy things, so we thought this was better than a clothes store.

We did a joint gift for my ILs this year... stuff for the RV they bought this year...
What about a nice pocketbook? I know not everyone is into them, but my mom loves the Vera Bradley bags, so I got her a bag, makeup case, and eyeglass case for Christmas.
If she likes to garden, what about some books / dvds on gardening, plus a few little gardening things - like gloves, etc. that she might like. You could do a little gardening basket.

An I love Grandma ornament, a calendar from shutterfly and that's it because she never told us what she wanted and we certainly can't pick it ourselves!!!!!

Money...It's what she wants. Whenever we ask her what to get for x-mas or her b-day she says money. She feels bad asking for it but we do not mind at all because A. she's got a tiny tiny apartment so not a lot of room for knick knacks. and B. it makes shopping for us easier.

A big gardening cart from Brookstone. DH said he's getting some tools to go on it but I'm leaving that up to him, I've had enough shopping!
