What can I eat?

For lunch that won't aggravate this incredibly uncomfortable gas?

Re: What can I eat?

What about something mild like a cheese sandwich (I don't remember if you eat dairy) or chicken noodle/matzo ball soup.

Re: What can I eat?

You don't eat meat, right? Maybe a grilled portobello on a whole wheat bun? Something bland and no veggies. Veggies = gassy

Re: What can I eat?

Have you tried sipping ginger ale to break up the gas?

as far as 'safe' foods... when my m/s was really bad, i stuck with saltines, cinnamon graham crackers and matza and they were very easy on my stomach. Chat Icon

Or something to help MOVE the gas out, like beans Chat Icon. The protein is good for the m/s, too! Chat Icon

I've heard that you should stay away from soup when you are gassy, the reason being that you take in a lot of air with each spoon full creating more gas.....

Re: What can I eat?

No meat, and dairy seems to be aggravating it really bad these days so I have to avoid those.

What about a salmon burger? Would that be ok? Or just a bagel with margerine?

Re: What can I eat?

I would do the salmon burger if you are up to it! Much higher protein count...too many carb in take without a protein can cause gas as well.

Yeah, I've been eating nothing but carbs for fear of eating something that will distrub my tummy.

Thanks... salmon burger it is! Chat Icon
