I disagree - now that I know people are more sensitive about thank yous, I'll be more hypervigilant about thanking those that have helped me with your opinions. I hadn't in the past because my friends & I don't go around thanking each other for opinions - it's part of the package deal that comes with the friendship.
As to my expectations, I expect less because of the anonymity factor.
Good post ShellyEsq. Thanks for starting it.
But that is just you. And i think that it is really sweet that you would change but i can tell you that not everyone would even consider this

Unfortunately, some people just live in a bubble and refuse to even see that maybe their behavior is hurtful and in need of changing. You can find people like that everywhere.

Thats true. There are definitely people who Sukk!!  Sorry you had that experience, twice.
But there are a lot of people (most people IMO), who aren't like that- and want to be respectful and cuteous and want to make LIW a friendly place! 
ETA: SUKK- some of this censorshp is a little silly.

yes i agree..on the whole most people here are wonderful....
I guess some of others, who conveniently never post on these threads, can just get on ya nerves sometimes..causing a vent thread like the one i did yesterday.

I don't expect anything really. I have gotten to know a few people more than others and I can say I can talk to these girls and get helpful advice on what may be going on in my life. We are all different and have different views on a lot of issues so I do expect some different ways of thinking. I'm honest on here just as I am in RL but that's what I choose to do.

Ya know..normally i try not to let these silly things bother me but when i went out of my way to call someone to get information to help out...
AND then to not even get a simple thank you...
that really bothered me. The person who i called asked "so how did it go for them" and i was just sickened to know that the person i tried to help didn't even care

It's normal to feel like this-IMO you go out of of your way for a stranger and to not even get a thank you is annoying. I would be annoyed too!

I'd agree with this but I also just wanted to add that I expect others to be respectful and sensitive to others..just the way I am...in RL or in here as well....
