What are the chances???

We are not TTC, however my last period was July 3. Last night well.. you know Im usually on a 28-30 day cycle. Im pretty new to all the TTC terminology on this site, however from what I know, ovulation usually occurs on like the 14th day of your cycle.

With the knowledge you ladies have on this, do you think my chances of being pregnant are pretty good?? When do you suggest is the earliest I could buy a pregnancy test to find out?

You bd'ed on Day 13 which is VERY GOOD! You have VERY good chances on getting a BFP!

ETA: If you're very regular, then you can start testing as early as 9 dpo (I got my BFP on the 9th day)...however, it is best that you wait until you miss your AF later on this month...

In my opinion, without more information, it's sort of really hard to tell what kind of chances you have of getting pregnant from one time on that one day. It would depend on when you actually ovulated. Even with a regular 28 day cycle, some women ovulate early in their cycle, some later, some right about that time. It can also vary from cycle to cycle. That why a lot of us TTC'er's do the temping, charting, ovulation predictor kit thing. Also, the probability of getting pg from only one act is not as high as you would think, but this varies with age and by the person.

Therefore, I think it's pretty much impossible to say. I wouldn't say it's a sure thing you will get pg or that it is likely, but of course it is possible. I'm not sure if you are hoping you are or you aren't, but good luck either way.

I agree with Chai. There's no way to tell what your chances are.

I would never tell a woman it's "very likely" she could become pg from BD one night.

Of course it's possible if you O on CD13, 14, 15, maybe even 16 (although a stretch).

you could very well be PG, but i would still wait to test until Af is late. I never used any charting, temping when we were ttc. and the day i got pg was not a day i was supposed to be ovulating, so you realy could be .
