I am so sorry. Hopefully the hospital staff is equiped and trained to handle her so that she gets the care she needs. Such a hard thing to go through...for everyone including her.

So sorry you are going through this. I've seen it recently with my husband's aunt. Hopefully, the Alzheimer's exacerbation was caused by the disorientation of being in the hospital and will improve upon discharge. I was amazed at how clearer my husband's aunt became when she was home a few days.
I'm sorry. Seeing a loved one with Alzheimer's is heart wrenching. My grandmother was never diagnosed (back in the 80's) but she did have dementia... it was awful
I am sure that they won't let her leave the hospital, I would not worry about that. They know how to deal with and soothe Alzheimer patients I'm sure. But it is very hard on you I bet, I hope she lets them help her get better.
