Well I decided to test last night...
..and I'm pregnant!!!!
I couldn't believe it. I just went off the pill and a few weeks later...
The thing is-i tested too early once and it was negative. But my symptoms of cramping, fatigue and horribly sore boobs were awful SOOO i was like hmmmmmm..
Well yesterday was supposed to be the first day of my period. I thought "what the heck" and bought another EPT. Sure enough...a big fat plus sign appeared in the window.
We are so excited-DH didn't believe it for a while, he kept shaking his head and laughing.
Just wanted to share our news...hopefully the blood work will confirm everything as ok-
Please cross your fingers..i'm a little nervous, as i hadn't been off the pill long at all.

I know i haven't posted much, BUT i have been reading these boards for months now, as I was hoping to start TTC shortly after our wedding.
I do hope everything is ok-i am so nervous now. Only b/c i have been told i should have waited longer after going off the pill-but i know what happens is meant to happen.
I wish everyone on this board a short stay, and a wonderful 2006.

Don't worry about not waiting for long enough after you come off bcp to try. Lots of women get pregnant right away and it depends on your Dr. too. Mine told me I could try immediately. They just worry that it may take your body a few months to adjust.
Enjoy and take it easy.

Hey, thanks for what you said. I appreciate it and it did make me feel better. When my mom had an inkling we were "thinking" about a baby, she was very firm on the fact that it could cause tubal pregnancies and for things to go wrong if any of the hormone from the pill was still in my body :( It had me very nervous when i found out yesterday.
Believe me...i didn't expect it to happen now. I thought it would take at least 3 months..but i guess it was supposed to happen now!!

Congratulations!! And don't worry about the pill. I got pregnant the 1st month I was off the pill and everything was fine. I think a lot of doctors tell you to wait because it helps them to date the pregnancy since a lot of women have irregular cycles when they first stop taking the pill.

Congrats!
And also to set your mind at ease, my DR. told me that there's no need to wait after going off the pill. She said that as soon as you stop taking it it's out of your system- hence why you're supposed to take it daily and if you skip a couple of days you're supposed to use a backup method.
