The whole time, I couldnt believe I was really doing this to him - even though it had to be done - he was so dying... but I kept thinking - maybe I can change my mind...Maybe I can stop this...
I knew it was not really an option, but I felt so awful standing there and watching this happen to him.... At least the cancer I had no control over. This I did....
It really is so sad. I am working from home, and I keep forgetting he's not there - like I never let him in the basement because he would pee on all the boxes ( ) so when I did laundry I always had to close the door behind me. I still do it...
Also, he would always try to run out the front door, so I'd be careful when opening the door - still am careful.
I keep thinking he's asleep in the house and he will look at me sleepily the way he did when I walked into a room where he was...
I also would have to keep things out of reach or covered if I didnt want him to pee on them (he was so bad) and now I can leave things wherever... I'm not used to that....

Liza,
Just saw this now. I have tears in my eyes. I am so sorry about your cat. You most certainly heard him purr, he was happy and in peace. It hurts so much to lose our furry friends. They enter our lives and give us such a beautiful and unique love.
