Weird question - sleep with underwear or not
I might have asked before but I can't recall.
A family member was shocked that I have my daughter sleep with underwear on under her pajamas. I never gave our a second thought because that's what I do. But she said it's unhealthy.
What's normal?

My dd sleeps with it on. I think as long as it's 100%cotton its fine

My girls wear them. My friend's daughter was getting frequent uti's so she sleeps without them which is supposed to help that I guess.

Yes we all sleep with underwear on and have never had a UTI in my life

Yes for underwear.
We don’t take a bath every night. Not good for our skin (us, personally)
How are underwear any different from a PJ? We have cotton for both.
Unless she is proposing being naked for sleep... which actually may make sense... and would allow evaporation, but I hate doing bedsheets and would have to do them more often! In that case, I’d make the argument to only wear underwear (no PJ).

Honestly I think it's more about yeast infections than utis.
Again 100% cotton is the key as it breathes better

Yeah whenever I used to wear non cotton undies- it was like instant yeast infection. I can only wear 100% cotton. That area needs to breath.

Underwear and pjs. Now that I am older sometimes I will not put underwear to sleep out of comfort but nothing to do with sanitary reasons.
As I get older I realize I hate underwear and now realize why my mom never wore a bra growing up.
