weird - ds trying to crawl in his sleep?
Explain this to me, I don't get it.
I hear screaming, I go in, he's on all floors, belly off the "ground". I lay him down and like a light he's out. He only crawls on his belly when awake.
The other night, he did this and was sitting up. I've never seen him sit up from laying, ever. And again he was just sitting screaming. I lay him down and he's out like a light.
These are skills I feel he's late for considering he looks like he's going to be walking soon. But why is he practicing in his sleep?

Hey Shana, honestly I have no idea. My son will talk in his sleep and get up and move around in his sleep, but he is older than your DS. I don't remember him doing anything like that when he was a baby. I am sure it's fine and he will be fine.

aww too bad I cant make out what it says in the image :(
I just keep reading about "stress" causing "sleep terrors" and I've asked before about sleep terrors and I can't figure out if this is related. He also just screamed out another time and put himself back to sleep in a few minutes, this time laying down normally.
I know he's teething terribly too, I feel like such a bad mommy, I don't want to over medicate, I don't want him to suffer.

I've been told by ped and others that it is common for babies to "practice" milestones like crawling, rocking, sitting up, rolling over, even pulling up in their sleep in the crib. Now weird, normal.

This is EXACTLY what's going on here He's crawling around in his sleep crying and crying. I lay him back down, he's back up crying, etc., etc. It's alllll effing night Hopefully once they master the skill during the day, they'll stop doing it at night?

I was going to say - it sounds like teeth. DS moves around a lot and climbs/crawls when his teeth are bothering him.
One night I went in to check on him (he wasn't crying but, I check on him before bed) and he sat straight up in his sleep and then laid back down (this was months after he mastered the art of sitting up).
