Weekend plans for the home
So it's Friday ladies (woohoo!!!).
Does anyone have any weekend plans for the home? (house hunting, furniture shopping, renovating, etc.)

Good thread!
Tomorrow, our floors are getting their poly coat. Our granite is going in(I HOPE). We also plan to sand and refinish our kitchen table that my aunt gave us. She has 5 kids so it can use a little TLC. :)
I also want to go to Home goods and get some Halloween things :)
We have to purchase our lights for about the kitchen table and island.
And possibly order a bathroom vanity because the temporary vanity the contractor got is soooo ugly.
:) busy weekend for us

painting closet doors, sanding down a dresser that we got at someones curb, re-upholestering my dining (really kitchen) chairs and hopefully doing some yard saling.
i'm looking for a desk.

patiently waiting for tuesday when we sign contracts and plunk down our 10% deposit on the house 
we need to start packing/emptying our apartment so we can put it on the market

Hopefully installing our new ceiling fan/ light in the dining room and new exterior light. Also need to start looking for tile ideas for our new bathroom.

I have to wait until next week for the re-delivery of one of my couches. It was too big and they have to bring it back in 3 pieces to assemble it inside.
This weekend, I am hoping that we can go price some TVs and maybe look into window treatments for our other rooms.
Oh yea, we also need to find a plumber for our bathroom sink.

Repainting the bathroom -- somehow the sunny yellow I envisioned looks more like neon green. I hate having to paint over my own mistake.
Putting together new patio furniture
Weeding the backyard  -- the weeds are totally out of control
Buying new pendant lights for over the kitchen island

Finally got blinds for our bedroom - DH is hanging them tonight.
DH is also picking up a coffee table and end table that we ordered so he'll put that together tonight as well.
That's pretty much it.

Sunday-5th annual BBQ. about 30 people coming, so the weekend is basically doing errands and getting ready for party.

Shopping for new ceiling fan for kitchen, going to pick fabric to finally have roman shades made for DS's room, painting the final coat on my stair risers, and hanging pictures in foyer. All long overdue.

Ugh, sorry to remind you about weeding.
For pendants I looked at a bunch of different places and got overwhelmed at all the different options! I finally found some at a small lighting store near my house (not in NY).

outside work- finally! planting some mums for some fall color, mowing lawn and weeding.
doing some finishing stuff in the house- putting back up baseboards that had to be painted, staining 2 new bathroom doors, etc.

hopefully DH will put up my curtain rod in the lr that i have been askign him to do for months
i havent mentioned it to him yet but i would also like to go to home depot to get a celing plate for our chandelier and new light fixture for the kitchen

Just finished getting everything perfect because we are going on a cruise tomorrow morning so I wanted all the basics done -- so, I cleaned, did any dishes that were there, washed all the laundry, and put the car in the garage. I want to come home to a clean house where everything is already finished!
