Weekend day getaway
We can't get away for an overnight to celebrate our anniversary, but My parents are watching the girls all day Saturday so that we can have a day out to ourselves. We're not really feeling the city, and we've done Huntington village a million times. Any other thoughts on a nice way to spend the day on LI without kids? Preferably no more than 1-1.5 hrs. from Wantagh. Tia!

Weekend day getaway
How about trip out to greenport and shelter island. Totally different feel from the South fork. It's my favorite

I was going to suggest a few wineries- you can bring a picnic lunch to one and buy a bottle of wine and just relax.
Then the outlets are nearby if you want to do a little shopping
Then dinner
