As someone else said, the only color I wouldn't waer is white. I have been to a wedding or two where people gasped when they saw someone in a white dress.
But as Neenie said, I don't see how you take attention away from the bride anyway. She is the BRIDE, she's the one you came to see, not some random chick in a white or red dress.
Maybe they are jealous, because I am sure you will look fabulous in your red dress

Someone wore a bright red dress to my sister's wedding, and while she did stand out, she didn't take any attention away from my sis. I think it's more the style of the dress than the color that matters.

there is nothing wrong with wearing red to a wedding! (IMO) I've seen it done and it takes nothing away from the bride. I don't think anything can.

i was always told NEVER to wear white to a wedding, but not red.

One of my friends wore red to my wedding and I thought she looked great! Especially since so many others were in black.
Definetly go for it- I don't think the bride would be offended!!
