Weaning from my pump

Long story short, I ebf my DS and also pump right before bed and first thing in the morning. My DS gets one pumped bottle at night before bed so my dh can feed him. Between my morning and night pump, I have tons of extra milk- Over 200 oz (my dh thinks 300 oz). We honestly lost count lol. Anyway I'd like to wean from the morning pump because I'd be able to sleep longer. Right now I wake up to pump about an hour before my DS wake up (I've been trying to pump closer and closer to his wake up time). At this point, could I just eliminate my morning pump since it's so close to when he gets fed anyway? How long will it take for my body to adjust?

Eta: and since inquiring minds probably are curious about why I started out pumping so much- the hospital had me convinced I had a supply issue and told me to pump round the clock. At the beginning I was waking up during the night to pump as well- it was horrendous and I was tired. Technically the two times I pump now is down from previously weaning from round the clock pumps. It was madness Chat Icon. I woke up every 2-3 hours to pump in addition to feeding him. I'm now convinced I didn't 'really' have an issue, was just given bad advice. I can't say it bothers me TOO much though because regardless, I'm currently exclusively breastfeeding. So, at least the end result is what I was hoping for anyway- despite my insane and unnecessary freezer stash.

The morning pump is the hardest to get rid of because your body naturally produces the most at that time. I would get rid of your nighttime pump first because it will tell your body to stop making so much during the night. Then to get rid of your morning session I would just decrease the amount of time you pump by a few minutes everyday. Your body will adjust its supply in a few days.

Well I don't wanna wean from pumping completely because my DS still gets one bottle a day as his bedtime routine with my DH, and that's something we are continuing. Between the night and morning pump,
I'd rather pump at night and then sleep later in the morning - so really it would be the morning pump I would wean.

Also a side note- If I do wean from the morning pump, can I ever get it back? Can your supply ever build once it's lessened?

I'm in the process of weaning off my pump too. Pump for a few minutes less each session. Your body will adjust. I'd stop pumping altogether (if you're a SAHM) and use that for your son's bottles at night. 300 oz is a HUGE stash.

Your supply will adjust itself to whatever the baby needs. When he hits a growth spurt you'll produce more; when he nurses less you'll make less. It's pretty cool how it works.

Just stop that pump. You'll be sore for a day or two. But your body will adjust quickly.

Also, if your really hurting, just pump an ounce of two, and decrease slowly every day but this will slow the adjustment. I had a huge oversupply and I found it better just to deal with the pain for a day or two instead of dragging it out.
