Although you're right, she probably did alienate people, I do think it was directed to the people that are consistently putting people down. She was just saying you put everyone else down to make yourself feel better. Doesn't make it right, but it's hard to keep a sense of humor when you're constantly attacked.
I've gained weight post wedding and don't necessarily take offense to her post because I'm not a rude person.
As I am sure we were all taught "2 wrongs don't make a right"....her post was more rude than anyone elses.......
No they don't! I didn't say they did though, but to play devils advocate I understand why she did it.

I do too - even if I was offended by the fat housewife comment - I could see that she would get fed up with the hostility. (Not a housewife though - but there are plenty of SAH moms on the site that would be equally offended).

I don't know, maybe I missed something, but where was all this hostility you are talking about....I remember people saying they thought the pic was silly, but hostility I did not see...maybe it is just me

its like we are all 5 yr olds..i have never seen so many adults argue over every single little thing... and i must agree tons of things are said on this "public forum" that many would NEVER say to someones face..
lets all move on...cause LIF is BORING lately..can we get some actual nice discussion instead of bs drama

I just have to say that Lipgloss, as far as I can tell, is a sweetheart. Quirky yes!!
There were snide remarks on that thread and that is what she is responding to. There are plenty of ladies on this sight that have their inside jokes. She was just trying to be funny and break the ice.
And really, is LIF so above LIW??? Most of us came from there. Why bash it?!?

And I don't think an "I'm sorry" would have got her anywhere here. And, after being baraged with snide comments for the last few days, I think I would have felt the same way.
I don't really understand where all the animosity was coming from - I didn't see her attack anyone - until that very last post. But, that's just my opinion.
I thought it took a lot of guts and spunk and a great sense of humor, not to coem on here like "you biatches keep talking about me" and to post that funny post and the pics. I thought that was really cute, and that it was a sign of like, we all have a sense of humor, we can take little barbs and we don't need drama", but some people didn't take it that way
I have to agree.
I though the pics were hilarious.
I know Liza. She meant no one harm. Yeah maybe the last post was uncalled for but she seemed to be the butt of how many jokes lately? I don't agree with what she said but I can't blame her.

I didn't interpret those remarks as being snide...
that was me with those comments, and like Red said I was poking fun at people poking fun at themselves......
