I ditto this. I saw the whole thread and I was cringing waiting to when she was going to crack. I really don't understand what the snide comments were for but maybe there is some existing bad blood. What do I know? I think the purpose of her thread was to try and be light hearted and fun about the situation as a new member of the site. I thought it was a funny thing. I do not know why it got so harsh.

at first i was confused by the pictures but i thought they were funny. some of you were really rude, especially with the "this thread s u c k s" picture...really unnecessary
anyway, point of this post, all of you are constantly talking down about the people on LIW and what they're talking about. just a reminder, the majority of us (not all but most) came from there and had a lot of fun over there throughout the planning process or else we wouldn't be on LIF now!! So stop criticizing all the "crazy LIW crew" when we're all guilty of it ourselves

I agree with this. I find that people say things on here that they would never say face to face to people. The intent may be what they would say in real life, but I have a hard time believing that the delivery would be the same.

Although you're right, she probably did alienate people, I do think it was directed to the people that are consistently putting people down. She was just saying you put everyone else down to make yourself feel better. Doesn't make it right, but it's hard to keep a sense of humor when you're constantly attacked.
I've gained weight post wedding and don't necessarily take offense to her post because I'm not a rude person.

That is how I took the thread as well. It seemed like she was trying to break the ice and ease the tension and the reverse happened.
'Spunky' is certainly a great word to describe Lipgloss. She looks at things in a different way and she does try to approach everything first with a sense of humor. It did 'back fire' in this case.
