Water table question
What do you have your DC wear when they're playing with the water table? I bought one for James on Saturday and he's been having a blast with it with no water in it.
Is it still too chilly to use water in it? Do I put him in a rash-guard shirt and a bathing suit? How wet do they actually get? What about shoes? (I way overthink things, sorry )

Re: Water table question
which water table did you get?
I put about a cup of water and DS went ballistic. ETA: We have it on our balcony which gets super hot in the mornings, its was close to 80 there by 10am.
He got his shirt little wet, and I just changed him right after.
I was thinking of putting on one of these bibs on him

Re: Water table question
When ours arrives I plan on putting a small amount of water in it.. not enough to splash and actually get him soaked. I'll just keep him in regular clothes till summer... then it's just a bathing suit, or just no shirt LOL. But then I'll also be adding tons more water

Re: Water table question
You are way over thinking this Just put him in comfy clothes that are easy to change and you don't mind getting dirty - because he WILL find dirt and mix it in the water James is going to love it!!!

We got him the LIttle Tylkes Spiralin' Seas - it's so cute!
I like the idea of a smock until it gets warmer out!

I'm a head case. Because I don't have a bazillion other things on my mind, I need to worry about what my son wears to play with water.

Re: Water table question
Peyton has already used her this year a few times. She likes it pretty full. She wears her regular clothed(usually bathing suit in the summer) She gets pretty wet, but, no biggie. I change her when she is done.

I agree - we have one that is sand and water. It's full and he loves playing in it -- I just change him after cuz it's everywhere - pants and shirt...it's part of being a kid IMO

Re: Water table question
JJ got his for Easter & used it on that really warm day with full water in it. He started out in shorts & a tshirt but soaked himsefl (poured water over his head numerous times), so I changed him to no shirt & bathing suit. He wears his crocs bc they are the easiest things for him to run in even when his feet are completely soaked.

Re: Water table question
in the summer we fill it all the way and the girls wear bathing suits or we just let them get their clothes wet and change them. yesterday i took it out and put like an 1" of water in it. they were cold but played in that for 45 min. i just changed them afterwards.

Re: Water table question
We have the spiraling seas as well.
DS wore regular clothes the day he played in it - and his sneakers - and just dumped water overhimself for the most part. I got him little sandals for $8 from Kohls to use when he plays with it and will either put him in regular clothes or a bathing suit and just change him when he's done.
