I was just reading on another board about other peoples water bills and they all had really low water bills as well.
I have NY Water Service Corp and my bills are CRAZY. I just received my water bill for 2 months and it was $174.93.
What the #@$@#$#???

Suffolk County Water Authority $153.37 for 3 months! 
We did get a pool, though and DH has a tendency to turn the sprinkler on then fall asleep

SCWA two peopl with such different bills. . . can you tell me if you have inground sprinklers, pool, hot tub?
i have inground sprinklers. . i'm sure this contributes to a higher bill . .just not sure how much more.

Inground sprinkles and a 8 person hot tub in the yard. We ran the sprinklers alot this summer.

Last bill was $245
I wanted to kill my DH he has been known to turn on the water to fill our pool and "forget" he turned it on
I am talking leaving for work and leaving it running all day so we have a flood in our backyard!!

I have inground sprinklers as well, but there is one section of yard that they miss, so DH has a regular sprinkler on that area...that's where he leaves the sprinkler on all night.
As for the pool, we just got it and had to fill it up. Its a pretty decent sized pool (15'x30') so it definitely took a lot of water.

No, we don't have any of those. Our highest bill was $50 in the summer running the sprinkler everyday and my dh washing his car every few days.

I should also add........DH and I shower twice a day.....we have IGS that run daily........we use the dishwasher daily...laundry daily......we have a Jacuzzi and a fish pond........
wow......I never thought about it before......that's actually pretty good for all the water we use....

We have East Meadow water and our bill is usually $17 for three months. Keep in mind no pool no IGS...but we do run the dish washer a lot and tend to take long showers. The water company estimated our usage at 166 gallons a day...which seems like a lot to me.

Some of the incorporated villages do, but the majority of people get their water from the County water supply.

(family of 4) every 3 months, about $30
and then after watering lawn in the summer it was $60 for 3 months (i water the lawn for half hour every other day)

I have them to, and I just got a bill for that amount as well. I have never had a bill that high. It says we used 44000 gallons of water, is that even possible?

Same here...I think it went up becuase we have inground sprinklers that we used all summer for the lawn...but it is a high jump! Hopefully it wsill go down now that the summer is over!!
