Washing hair?
Do you wash your hair everyday? I'm trying to train myself to wash every other day. I don't feel like I've showered on the days I don't wash my hair. How long does it take to get used to it?

Re: Washing hair?
i always use to wash and condition everyday, no matter what. but after finally taking the advise of the hair salon, i slowly moved to every other day or every few days.
it took a LONG time to get used to this, but one thing that helped is knowing that its fine to WET your hair...just dont wash it with shampoo since it strips the hair.
so every day i wet my hair. and on days where i want more, but dont want to wash it...i just use conditioner.
it has made a big difference.
give it a try!

Washing hair?
I recently went to washing my hair every other day. Its definitely better for my hair - I can see the difference - but on days I don't wash it, I always feel like it doesn't look as good (not that I ever think it looks GREATbut I definitely like it better on washed days)

Re: Washing hair?
I wash my hair once a week with low poo or no poo shampoo. Once every 2 weeks I use a regular shampoo.
I condition daily and deep condition 1x per month.

Re: Washing hair?
Every single day. I couldn't get away with no, I have really oily hair and I don't know what happens when I am sleeping but when I wake up, I look like I went for a swim in the Exxon Valdez oil spill.

Re: Washing hair?
I wash mine two to three times a week - more in the summer, though.
I'm lucky in that my hair is pin straight and very thick. So even if it feels a little oily, it doesn't show it. It actually looks best in a day or two days post-wash.
I used to wash my hair every day and it made my hair and scalp super dry.

Re: Washing hair?
I can go up to 4 days without washing it. It tends to look better the 2nd or 3rd day believe it or not. I have normal thick-fine hair, that the natural oils help make it look better but 4 days is the max. I don't even wet or condition in between. If I'm going to the gym then it's every other day, but I learned from washing every day, that skipping at least a day actually makes mine look better, then again, i don't have oily hair

Question for those that don't wash everyday.
Do you use any products in your hair?

Washing hair?
I do every other day in the winter. I also us the t-gel shampoo every other wash. It helps with dry scalp. I need conditioner, otherwise my hair is suoer knotty. I only condition the hair that is long, no scalp or it gets greasy. I rarely use product in my hair. Maybe a little hair spray to keep the flyaways at bay.

Washing hair?
Every other day during the week. I only use a little anti-frizz serum on shampoo/conditioner days. Non-washing days I use Oscar Blandi Dry Shampoo.
It took me months to get used to not washing every day but it allows me to sleep a little later so I dealt with it!!
I *can* go an extra day (especially on the weekend because I'm all about a scrunchy anyway - LOL) but I feel like I'm getting pimples or something on my scalp and usually regret not washing it the minute I get to work! HA!

Re: Washing hair?
I wash mine every other day but I'm a SAHM. When I was working and when I go back to work, I will wash it every day again. I just dont feel fresh on the 2nd day when my hair isnt squeaky clean.

Re: Washing hair?
I wash mine every 3rd day, purposely. I feel my hair looks worse if I wash it every day-- dry and coarse. Then I need tons of serums, leave in conditioners etc to make it look decent. The natural oils definitely help me with softness and shininess.

No, I don't. That's probably a big reason why I can go for 3 days or so without a wash.

Washing hair?
I try to not wash every day but i'm a neat freak and that oiliness when you don't wash...ugh it's just awful to me. I don't feel clean when I skip but I really feel like I need to stop beating my hair up every day. Anyone use those dry shampoos and would that defeat the purpose?

Re: Washing hair?
I just don't feel good about myself unless I shower & wash my hair daily. There are days where I just won't bother because I don't have to be anywhere (no one has to see me ), but more often than not I shower/wash my hair every day.
I've started using an olive oil shampoo, but the "jury" is still out on it's effectiveness.
