Wantagh High School on Lockdown - OVER

Officers responded to Wantagh High School early Friday -- and the school was placed on lockdown status -- after a teacher "overheard a student saying they had a gun," according to a police spokesman.
There was no indication that a weapon had been seen, Nassau County police said, stressing that the investigation -- and lockdown measures -- were "precautionary."
The incident was reported at 9:12 a.m., police said.

Police said "multiple units" were at the school on Beltagh Avenue.

It's over no gun was found. The police searched lockers etc. Very scary
