Vitamin D?
Has anyone been diagnosed with low viatmin D. I got my results back and the nurse called and told me to start taking Vitamin D supplements. The weird thing is that she wants mt to take 4000iu twice a day. So that is a total of 8000 per day. Does not that seem like a lot?

I have severe vitamin D deficiency. I was told to take 50,000 units per week, for a month.

Oh wow. Did you have any side effects. I was doing some research online and some sites say that too much Vit D is bad for you, but then others say something completely different.

no, i did not, b/c i forget to take my dose most of the time i read a lot too, but this dosage is normal with deficiency.

Same here. Then after it was 1000 units a day.
