very personal question
Does anyone have a ritual after they have sex like elevating their legs or not using the bathroom for 30 minutes? How about sexual positions? Are certain positions better when TTC? I hope I don't offend anyone, just want to increase my changes of conceiving.

HA! These aren't personal questions -- these are just baby making questions 
I've always heard that guy on top, missionary style is best for baby making. I think it has something to do with you being on your back and letting gravity help you.
Some people have the leg ritual, but I just like it lay there and do Kegals for 10 minutes while watching TV.

as far as the postiions go... i would just stick to the basics... anything that will make it easier for the spermies to swim..and not have gravity pull them down...so missionary works best...
also.. you can just lay in bed for about 15 - 20 min... you can prop a pillow under your butt...
you dont need to put your legs up in the air... just laying there is pefectly fine!!

I can't take credit for the Kegals idea -- it was one of the first posts I read on here and they said it helps push the spermies upward toward your cervix.

Position wise we still do whatever we want. Can't help it and honestly for me, it kills my mood when I start to think about the position I should be in. I tend to dry up very quickly depending on what CD I am at.
I always lay in bed for about 15 minutes after BD.

I've heard that "doggy style" is best since the sperm gets deposited very close to the cervix.
I keep my legs up for 30 minutes after BD also. If nothing else, it gives me free reign over the remote!

Unlike TTC for #1 (I was a self admitted complete panaroid maniac!!!), we try to have fun. We do the Deana's plan and try to get the best of it. We go back to "basics" when we are right around O time otherwise again we try to have fun.
I lay down for a few hours after BD.
The PP mentioned the "doggy" position. I have read it is the "best" too as it's the sperm to "deliver" the closest to the cervix.

A couple of months ago DH had to see the Urologist. So of course I got to speaking to him about TTC. It turns out it took him and his wife a very long time. So he gave us some tips. Out of all the tips he gave us (we were already doing all of them) except for one......this I never heard....he said, I can't take a hot shower afterwards for at least 4 hours! He had no explanation why.....he just said that is what they were told and that is what they did and it worked.
So...anyone ever hear of that?

IDK if this is crossing any boundaries, but from what I remember from my anatomy classes, when a woman "Os" the cervix actually is pushed downward by the contractions from the O in order to help draw the sperm up into the uterus (esp. when the cervix is open during peak fertility)... so, making sure that you O afterward to help draw the spermies upward can't hurt anyone - I've heard success stories from those who manually O'd afterward (w/ and w/o "help" from DH)...
Like I said, IDK if this crossed any lines here... but I'm giving you what I know about the female body and what I've been told by other women...

I would put a pillow under my butt and not use the bathroom for at least 20 minutes. I have no idea if it played any role in getting PG, but it made me feel like I had at least a little control over things

My gf who got pregnant twice very quickly advised me not to get up at all afterwards. So, I have been staying in bed and going to sleep right away. I will probably end up with a UTI and no BFP.

The month I got my BFP I did the following:
Robitussin 2x a day from CD 8 through smiley opk.
Used internal pre-seed
Did not do missionary (DH was hurt so we couldn't), and it still worked
Elevated my hips for 30 minutes after

with both my boys I had a pillow under my butt, pretty much the whole night. Position wise didnt really matter, but I think woman on top would be moot as gravity would play a part.

I stay with my feet in the air for about 15 minutes.
There are certain positions that will bring the sperm closer to the cervix!
Those are the ones I mostly enjoy anyway!

The month i conceived was the only time i actually laid in bed 30 mins after BDing and put a pillow under me. I cant say that it did the trick for sure but.... i definitely plan to do it again next time

This was me exactly except mine was Mucinex instead of Robitussin.
