Very dissapointed...
As you all know I hated my 1st choice of Dr. so I ended up changing practices at 16 weeks and I love this Dr. I have now. So I went to the Dr. today for my 27 week appointment and she said she had some not so great news to tell me. Due to insurance malpractice insurance cost rising dramatically she would no longer practice obstetrics come 2007. My jaw dropped!!!!! I was soooooo upset. My dr. is a sweetheart and of course Im not mad at her I totally understand her situation, but I am so bummed I finally found someone and now I have to be delivered by another Dr.!!! She totally reasuured me that the Dr. she was referring me to was great and he's a personal friend and she trusts him, and he has no problem with giving me a c section and so on and so forth. But shi* that really stinks for me to have to go to yet another Dr.!
Just wanted to vent I'm really bummed!

so sorry - unfortunately this is happening all over the place. My uncle is an ob/gyn and has stopped delivering babies b/c of the same reason and he has never even been sued before. Something needs to be done b/c this is becoming a crisis - very scary.
