Great Neck OB-GYN...dissapointed/long
I am 24 weeks pregnant, and my pregnancy has been goin fairly smoothly until last week. So because I am high risk i go about every 2-3 weeks to see my OB...have been a little turned off cause he sees me for 5 minutes at most and flies out the door every time. I figured that because everything was going normal with my pregnancy, he probobly had more serious issues to deal with thats why he was so hasty.
So last week i went for a sono and he said that my stomach is measuring large for 24 weeks, and he wants me to come back for a sono the next day as it may mean that I have too much amniotic fluid, he said we will talk about tomorow after the sono at 1. so here I am chasing him out the door asking him questions of what that might mean, what might some of the causes be etc...so anyways, obviously I can't sleep the whole night, am worried and stressed.
The next day i go in for the sono, and the sono tech states that baby is measuring normal but my amniotic fluid is measuring slightly on the high siide. THis may mean the baby has hard time swallowing, kidney problems, or due to my condition. So after the sono I am in the waiting room waiting to speak with the OB. The sono tech comes back and says that Dr. Kline is on this way out the door, and he will not have time to speak with me. HELLO....I was so ****** by then as he specifically told me to come back at one. She asks if I want to speak with anyone else. ummm Yah. So after an hour i finally meet with another doctor that doesn't know anything about me or my condition, so basically the baby is ok, i just have to take a bunch of labs and be monitored more closely.
I just find the whole practice so frustrating....just because I am not J LO or give birth to triplets doesn't mean i deserve to be treated this way....sorry for the long vent.

I am so sorry! if you truly do not feel comfortable, I would DEF seek out another practice!

Sorry you've had such a bad experience with them, but I'm so happy that everything is normal with your pregnancy!
That is my OB/GYN too. So far I haven't had any issues (Sadaty is my normal doc), so I hope that continues.

ITA with this. for me personally, it would not matter how far along i was - i NEED a dr that will answer all my questions without running out the door.
