Did you find yourself limited with the betsy with the zipper? I thought about that one because I liked the zipper to keep Jack out of the bag right now but then I was afraid with sippys it might be a pain the close. I thought if I went smaller I was better with the possibility for it to be open..... just wondering how it worked out for you?

LOL sorry this thread is going too fast!

It worked fine for me, I usually only carry one sippy, but I guess if I ditched the camera you could fit another. With all the other stuff in there they stood upright, if leaking was your concern. I never had a leak.
If it was a *really* hot day I did notice a little condensation on the outside of the sippee (juice) so I would either wrap a paper towel around it or bring it empty and buy where ever I was going so it was fresh.
it has a small front pocket for my phone and a few inside pockets to organize smaller items.

Thanks! It is going crazy fast! lol

I think its part because I'm a spaz and researched and made way too many trips to my VB store the past few weeks. I looked at your bag but I cheaped out and got the Alpine Black so I could get the discount and the extra pieces. The betsy was sold out in Alpine Black at my store.
I'll have to think about the besty this spring. Thanks again.

I know she just retired a few colors in November, but I didn't know Aline Black was one of them! I liked that one Chat Icon

My first bag was the Emily fabric she retired that one too :(
It was pretty sweet that she had a decent collection of Alpine blacjk at 30% off I cleaned up!

The other day I was at the supermarket and a women saw my bag and told me to go back to Merle Norman because she was there saturday and the pattern was 30% if I wanted extra pieces... I smiled and said "not anymore I was there sunday morning!" hehe

Wait until you go there and start trying them out --- and seeing the accessories....

I wasn't even considering asking for another one for Christmas (I have the diaperbag, a ziparound wallet, a very large tote bag for teaching and 2 hobo bags, summer/winter) but now that we're all talking about it I might have to find something for DH to get me....

Haha, glad to see you came back to the post!

Yeah, Dh actually loves it because he sorta knows my taste in patterns and considers it an easy gift for me since their are so many pieces.

I just got the Betsy bag since I was tired of lugging around my huge diaper bag. I think it's the perfect size. I can fit my stuff (wallet, cell phone, keys, etc), a diaper or two and some wipes, a bottle, formula dispenser, and a few small toys in it just fine and it zips closed. It's nice because the inside has a bunch of pockets along the sides of the bag to hold stuff so it doesn't get lost. I'm able to fit a bottle or sippy cup in one of the smaller pockets so it won't tip over and leak. If you use a sippy with handles it probably wouldn't fit in the pocket though. Well maybe it would fit in one of the bigger pockets. You should definitely find a store that carries them and check them out if you can. There are so many styles.

I got this one a few months ago for the same reasons as you, I didn't want a bulky diaper bag anymore, but needed something big enough to carry some of Julia's things.

I found this bag to be great! Its a Vera Bradley.

I can fit 2 or 3 diapers in it, snacks for Julia, wipes case, and my stuff. I usually just keep her sippy in my cup holder of my car.

What is this bag called?
Do you keep a "spair" diaper bag in your cars w/ a change of clothes and extra diapers and stuff?

The bag is called Cargo Satchel, in the Microfiber section.
I have a set of clothes for her that I keep in my car, I can fit up to 3 diapers in that bag plus the wipes case.

ETA: I'm not into those pattern bags, thats why I loved that one, and its not so bulky also.

Re: Vera Bradley moms

I have two patterns of the Carry All which I LOVE. But just found out that you can no longer order them online - only in stores now.

But I find it to be the perfect size for now - not too big but large enough to hold a few diapers, wipes, change of clothes, medicine, and my wallet, etc. I love it!
