using crayons
how old was your DC when they started drawing or coloring with crayons? DD just turned a year and Im wondering if shes too young to use crayons. (we are going on a 3 day trip and Im looking for things to pack to keep her occupied) **if you have any other ideas of things that are small and dont take up much room to bring you can add that in too!
Thanks !

Re: using crayons
I started at a year with Julia and she was fine with them, every now and then I had to tell her "no mouth"--lol

Re: using crayons
DD is almost 2 and I would say only within the last 6 months has she used crayons--she really likes to color now! Bring them, they're small enough even if she doesn't "get" them. I always bring a little magna doodle thing for Katherine when we go out, that and books.

Re: using crayons
I give Ava those big crayons and she likes them, but what she really loves that I bring in the car is a travel magnadoodle. You know, those magnetic boards that you use the "pen" to draw on, then pull the lever to erase? She loves it. LOVES IT.

Re: using crayons
Julie was around 1 when she started, of course she wasn't very good at it but she loved the colors and had a ball scribbling

My kids have a funny knack for removing the wrappers off all the crayons, little itty bitty piece by piece

Twistables are great. What's even better are the Erasable Twistables
