Updated: How would you pronounce the name Lila?
For some reason my poll didn't work
Either:
"Lee-La"
Or
"Lie-La"
Ok, so I'm confused lol.
How come the name Mila, is pronounced "Mee-La" but Lila isn't? lol
What would be the spelling for "Lee-La" then?

Lee-La is what I initially think. I have a student with the name Alila and she pronounces it A-Lie-La.

If you want Lee-la, I'd spell it Leighla. Although I'm not sure if that's really a name.

That's DD1's name. We call her LIE-lah. Depending of your country of origin, I've also heard of people pronouncing it LEE-lah but using the same spelling.

I once met someone at a barbecue whose name was pronounced Lee-la. She spelled it Lela.
I now associate that pronunciation with adult films because the person at the bbq turned out to be a pretty popular porn star. Apparently all of the men at the bbq knew who she was, while the rest of us just wondered why she was dressed so scantily lol
ETA: Mila is pronounced Mee-la because it's a Russian name and that's its pronunciation.
