Update on Neener1211-me
Thank you to everyone for your outpouring of support. In our mind and heart, we don't feel that there is anything wrong with this baby.
We saw the Genetic Counselor on Friday and they told me my numbers again (over1: 10k) , and that the neckfold was 1.5 which was a good measurement.
They told me about Trisomy 18, and about the amnio etc, but nothing that I already hadn't researched myself.
I now have my level II switched from the 17th to the 22nd so that they can do it at Stonybrook and it will be the most accurate picture of everything going on.
So now, I just have to wait and be patient, and not go stir crazy. Thank you for everything again.

thank you so much for the update janine - i know in my heart that there is nothing wrong with your sweet baby. i hope your only worry on the day of your level II is whether they will slip up and tell you the baby's sex since you want it to be a surprise

No, those measurements on the 12 week testing came back great. I had the AFP test that came back showing trisomy 18 as 1:10-which is WAY off from the 12 week showing 1:10,000.
So, now I have to go through all this to determine whether this baby has trisomy 18.

oh, now I remember....
I suspect since the ultrascreen results were so good, the AFP is likely a false positive.... lots of prayers to you and your family!
