BTW...so sorry you had to wait for your beta numbers...I would have gone mad...in their defense...today was the first official day of their IVF cycle...EVERYONE was there today...don't get too mad...he got you pregnant!!

it is a bit early for a sono, IMO... hopefully you see SOMETHING. I'm not sure if it will be much. I'm more concerned with you not seeing anything and getting all worked up over it, but things actually be OK. But I'm not the dr, so perhaps he knows what he's specifically looking for.
My first sono was at 6 weeks... and there was some slight searching, had to dig the stick a tad deeper and I had to hold my breath for a heartbeat. I think at 5 weeks, you would see a sac and perhaps a fetal pole. I'm not sure what if anything you would see at around 4 weeks.
I also heard beta's should be over 1000 before you can see something.
But your numbers are sounding really great!!! I'm so happy for you. I love when girls on this board get BFP's!!! It's my favorite.... like smiling is Elf's favorite!!

I am gonna agree with everyone that you should totally get excited.....with my chemical....1st Beta was 80, second was 135, 3rd was 185, 4th was 100.....never any doubling....you are MORE THAN doubling!!!!!!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!! I came in to check on you and it seems you have some story on your hands! Goes to show you that you just NEVER KNOW! I'm so happy for you!!!!
As for the sono - what do we know? The Dr wants the sono - he'll get one! He could also be looking at your lining, etc. Who knows! Just take it one step at a time - seems to be working!!!!

This is so exciting!!! I am sure the DR wants to confirm and make sure everything is ok in there. If your beta jumped to a good number it can always keep jumping and you will be on your way to a Happy & Healthy 9 months!

not to stop prog and estrace, b/c they need to confirm that it drops to 0 in a few days. What does it mean? 5.3 is negative, right?????  this can not be a non-viable pregnancy, right??????????? anyone????
UPDATE- Pregnancy tests are all positive. They were negative on Wed. I am scared shi$$less. Is it a sign of ectopic??
UPDATE # 2 my beta # 2 from Saturday ( 17 dp IUI) is 42.2. RE is saying it is a nice increase, but i am not feeling it.
For the girls who said about chemical, does beta increase with chemical? i thought it drops
UPDATE #3 . ok, so I know that my RE has the number for beta # 3 since 4.42 pm today ( getting a little anxious here ), but i still have not heard from him. Office closed at 5pm and i could not get ahold of anyone. I am hoping it is not b/c the results are crap that he is not sending me the info. I can not wait already God Forbid i have to wait till tomorrow.
BETA # 3 is 112! i think they want me to go for 4th one, i got disconnected. i actually dropped my cell when i heard the number no more betas, going for u/s on Wed. I do not know what to feel
ladies, question: on Wed when i go in for 1st u/s, i will be exactly 4 weeks post IUI. Isn't it early to see anything? there is no way my beta will climb to 1,000 by that time
UPDATE FROM 5 Week apt: We have a little sac This is all that RE was looking for today. So he ruled out ectopic. I am going back in 2 weeks. I can not be happier.
LADIES, i wanted to say THANK YOU to each of you. You are such an amazing group of people. I want to hug each and everyone and take you with me to prego board ( actually I am sticking here for another 2 weeks). I want to wish you all very soon BFPs and will be always thinking and praying for you!
