unpasteurized juice?
So, I just had some freshly squeezed orange juice from the fruit exchange store in our building and after I had already drank the whole bottle noticed a sticker that says it's unpasteurized and gives the following warning!
"This product has not been pasteurized and therefore may contain harmful bacteria that can cause serious illness in children, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems"
Who knew that I'd have to read labels for juice!! Has anyone else had fresh juice they bought at a store or farmers market? Do you think it's okay? The place where I bought it is very busy so I know it wasn't sitting around....of course now my stomach is in knots worried about what I just drank!

 Have you ever had this juice before? If its a reputable place or fruit from USA you should be ok.

 when did you drink it? I don't know why but I have this picture that if you get sick from something like that, that you get violently ill like immediately.

It's called the Fruit Exchange in the Chelsea Marketplace in NYC, I don't even know where they get their fruit......I've had the juice before, but the last time was before I was pregnant. I think I am feeling anxious about it and that's why my stomach is in knots, I've never had issues before after having it.....I am such a label reader, I can't believe I never noticed it before!

I just drank it like a half hour ago. I googled and read that illness from unpasteurized juice is rare.....but I guess I'll ask the store where they get their fruit from to put my mind at ease! lol
