did anyone give prune juice for constipation less than one month old?
the ped. mentioned that some people do this but I am reluctant to give a one month old anything other than formula
but we have tried a formula change, rectal thermometer stimulation, glycerine suppositories, and sugar water already and my son is in so much pain
can a small amount (1 tsp or 1 oz) of prune juice hurt him?

How long has it been since DC last went? I know my DS could go 36-48 hours at that age.
I probably would try the prune juice, as long as you watch them for allergic reactions.

I would actually try warm water before attempting prune juice. Then if that doesn't work, I'd use pear juice. Prune juice is very harsh on their small bellies.

For my DS I had to do what you have posted, And he is 4 yrs old and he is still has problems going to the bathroom.
What I am doing differently with my DD she is almost 4 mths I am giving her water. I didnt push it with my DS and my Nephew who only drinks water goes all the time without a problem.
How I prepare the water I buy fresh Parsley take a leaf and boil it in the water it gives it a little flavor. My DD was fussy in the beginning but you know like anything else it takes time and patience.
