Ugh you need to be kidding me...
Dh wasnt feeling well last night so I took screaming baby duty for the night and he slept downstairs.
well.. he woke up this am reallly sick and he is NEVER sick...
Dr said he has an ear infection and some kind of viral upper respitory thing. She told him to stay away from the baby unless he is wearing a mask and even still limit contact and he is not allowed to be around where she sleeps.
I am freakin exhausted and just the thought of not having him to help tonight is making me cry...

Can you call any family or friends over? Someone that doesn't have to work tomorrow, and could stay overnight at your house? Long shot, I'm sure, but you never know.

Aww Jenn... I feel your pain. Its rough. Thats why I have so much respect for single moms out there. I honestly dont know how they do it

My mom came over for a few hours but what did I do... CLEAN... I just cant relax when someone else is here and dealing with the baby. Even when DH gets up with her at night, I can never just go back to sleep.
I guess I am just gonna have to suck it up and prepare myself for a really tough weekend.

I can relate, even now when DH gets up with DD in the morning on the weekends and it's my day to "sleep in", I'm awake the second she wakes up and I hear everything they're doing.
You are just going to have to try to FORCE yourself to sleep when someone is there to help you-- it took me a while to get to that point to, but you have to do it, for your health & sanity-- you don't want to get even more run down & make yourself even more vulnerable to getting sick

Jen, I wear earplugs on my days to sleep after my overnight shift. I used to jump at everything that DS was doing with DH and I never slept. Even some mornings when DH lets me sleep in I put the earplugs in. Those are the BEST sleep I get. It's the only time I dream. I don't have to listen to the monitor, have someone else with him and it's the greatest!!!!
So when you get a chance and he is feeling better, get earplugs!!!

I feel your pain - same thing happened the day after DS came home from the hospital and then a month later. I thought I was going to DIE - it's only for a few days though. Just be sure to sleep when she sleeps....laundry, cleaning, etc. will still be there when you decide to get to it.

If you want to consider a baby nurse, I know someone who is great. I've done the mask thing, so it can be done but maybe give him a night or 2 to fight the illness off.
