Ugh fb political crap!
I can't take the conspiracy theory posts anymore, the dumb posts, the what planet are we on posts! They realize babies aren't aborted 8 days before their due date, right? They realize it's called a c-section, right? How did they make it this far in life? Were they just sent here to test us? And they cheer each other on one dumb statement after the next!
I will say this, my opinion of many friends and family members has changed after this election. Before the toxic radioactive rotting pumpkin came along, I never knew they could be this stupid and hateful!

DH - who rarely votes but is so disgusted by Trump that he is with her - and I were discussing that yesterday.
It's really shining a light on how stupid and ignorant some people are.
I don't say that easily but it's so disturbing.

What really annoys me is all the sharing of BS articles, videos, interviews with people to say why you shouldn't vote for one candidate or another.
Don't vote for Trump, he's a horrible person. And a video or article to back up why.
Don't vote for Hillary she is an awful human being. And another video and/or article that lists all her sins.
People do realize they aren't going to change anyone's mind at this point right?
Especially not by sharing some bulllshit video clip or article or meme on Facebook right?
IMO it just makes the person who is posting all of it NON STOP look like an asshole.

DH and I were just talking about the political ads on TV yesterday. I feel like neither party talks about what they actually plan to do. Instead they focus so much on the negatives of the other candidate that people don't realize that there are no solid plans out there for how they plan to run the country.

Just because there may be a slant (NY Times in particular) doesn't mean it's a complete work of fiction!! It's terrifying because people are literally REFUSING to believe anything except what they want to hear. That helps no one. I'm truly scared.

Ya know I want to get mad at them for it, but seeing how dumb and gossip-y the bulk of people are, they are just giving the people what they want. The majority of people aren't going to sit down and listen to a well thought out list of hopes, dreams, and prospective achievements for each candidate and decide based on that. No no- that's too much work! This is actually Donald Trump's arena- reality TV.

I've deleted a ton of people. Out of the 100 I have left, about 75 are hidden. I've basically kept kids and dogs. Neither have an opinion on the election and currently I like them better.

It's so annoying. I don't care what you post if it's true, but nobody fact checks. The most ridiculous things are being posted (on both sides) and nobody fact checks anything.
It's interesting to find out who people actually support (because we'd never talk about it IRL). Friends/people I know on fb that I thought for sure were Clinton supporters, are supporting Trump and vice versa.

Did anyone happen to see the Beyonce/Hillary one where there was a pic of Hillary as a little girl, and Beyonce had given Hillary a couple of thousand dollars when she was little, and she grew up to be Hillary Clinton, blah blah blah? I had a friend repost that being dead serious saying how nice it was for Beyonce to do that. People have no brains. Seriously.

I can't take it either. People post articles & videos based on their title & don't actually read or research it!! The worst are the "look at all these refugees rioting in France, how's that multiculturalism working out for you?" Meanwhile it was actually a video of taxi drivers protesting over Uber!!! Another one had the wrong country, wrong year & wrong group of people in the title. And the racist comments of all the numbnuts that believe it...I can't!!!

This 100%!!!!! I am seriously astounded by some of the dumb, ignorant, incorrect, moronic crap that people are posting. I am so sick of this race to the bottom, name calling, race baiting, and all of the other nonsense BS out there. I really don't care if one person said one dumb thing wrong, or used the wrong word choice and now you are up in arms over it. People say dumb stuff and have brain farts all the time.
I really wish people would focus on the issues like rebuilding our infrastructure, supporting troops with PTSD or medical needs when they come home, helping teachers do their jobs by investing in all children. Helping all families feel like they have a stake in America and success. Not dragging down our youth with high student loans. Why is it that we are not dealing with any issue of substance and dealing with he said she said Bs. It is so so much easier to distract people than to fix real problems. We all need to work together to fix things.

I can't anymore! I don't say anything! Nothing on fb or usually on here, but tonight was BAD on fb and I'm so over it! I would delete people but it seems the majority is my extended family! Ugh!!
I unfortunately believe people are reading what they are posting, but they are so misinformed that they truly believe what's written! Scary to say the least!
