ugghh......
The past 2 days my boys have been off scehdule. Matthew is now capable of sleeping longer about 5-6 hours and Chrsitopher is still on 3-4 hours. At nights it seems like Im up now every 2 hours. Should I just suck it up and be glad that Matthew is sleeping longer?? I dont want to wake him up, otherwise he will never sleep longer. DH decided to alternate feedings. Are we doing the right thing?

Re: ugghh......
I am a big fan of feeding them toghether. What we found works for us now is that if one gets up earlier to eat we pick them up and sleep with them on our chest till the other wakes up. The boys llike that and usually go to sleep for another hour or two. I know it's not the safest thing to do but it works.
I would try everything you can to get Christopher to sleep another hour. Matthew seems to be doing the right amount of time.

Re: ugghh......
Mine were always on a different schedule at night. We decided it was easier if Dh got up with one, and I got up with the other. We still do this at 13 months.

If one woke up I woke the other, until one could sleep thru the entire night.

Mine only started sleeping longer after they were a year old!!! Hailey used to get up twice a night - 1:00am and 4:00am - now she gets up once a night. Zachary still wakes up a lot but if we give him the pacifier, usually he will go right back down. (My dh takes care of him at night.)

my girl is the much better sleeper. i have heard that girls are better sleepers. i also heard that once boys hit the 13 pound mark (james is right around there), that they will start sleeping longer. how big are you boys now?

Re: ugghh......
I wouldn't wake up the sleeping baby because you want him to get used to sleeping longer. I guess the enfamil AR isn't working...i'm sorry. I know how you must be feeling and you are not a bad mommy..everyone goes through those feelings at this stage of the game. I know it seems that your boys are always hungry but try and space their feedings or they will become supper cranky because their bellies will be to full. Hang in there..try and get out during the day as much as possible..sitting around the house is depressing.

My MIL picked up some for me, and I had some Nutramigen opened so I didnt want it to go to waste, I will try again today and see.

Someone told my DH about that 13 pound mark and it was true for us. Once the boys almost got there they started sleeping 5-6 hour stretches.
