Uggh...
So, my body rejected one of the stitches from my heart surgery. I have to see the surgeon on Wed. to get the stitch out. The stitch is pretty big and in the middle of my chest.
Please pray that my incision does not get infected. I am freaking out. They have me on levaquin (antibiotic) just in case and told me to take my temp 3X's a day, if I get a temp I have to go to the ER.  If I get an infection, I am guaranteed an overnight stay in the hospital. I DO NOT want to go back there.
Thanks for letting me vent.

I am just freaking out. I mean, I have been SO careful and cautious with taking care of my incision and I feel like I failed somehow. I just don't want to go back to the hospital, ya know?

try not to freak.
After I had intestinal surgery I popped two staples. It was no big deal. It was about a week after I got home.
Really, you will be fine. I was not on any antibiotic.

I am trying not to get too stressed out, but it is hard not to let your mind "go there". I am taking my temp every hour like a crazy person.  At least I can laugh at how ridicolus I am being about this. I know it is not logical, I am just an emotional basket case.
I am so scared of going back to the hospital it was so depressing and feel that I am recovering better at home. I mean it was a great hospital, but the other sick folks in there were depressing. I don't know how to explain it. I am a positive person and when you are around people who are negative and depressed it takes its toll on you, ya know?
