Tylenol b4 shots?
Do you guys give your kids tylenol a couple of hours before they get their shots or wait until after? I am going for our 4 month shots and was wondering. TIA!

I have never heard that and only gave DD Tylenol afterwards if she had a fever.

My ped told me there was no reason to do this. DD however didn't have any reactions to shots (until the MMR and chicken pox) so she hasn't needed it

I usually give it right after. I bring it to the Dr. and dose him there.

We give it to him after. The Dr told us that there was no need for it until they show signs of a fever or distress...the nurse told us to give it to him right away. She said why would you want him to be in pain? Tylenol won't hurt them!

I don't like masking signs/symptoms before they have a chance to show up.

Same over here too.... I never heard of it until some of the mommies mentioned it.
Her ped now told me not to bother.... b/c if there is a reaction, you won't know what type of reaction they are having if you have them already medicated with the Tylenol.
