tube/life jacket?
what do you recommend to use for 1 year olds to use in a pool? are those bathing suits with the built in tube too big for them?

Re: tube/life jacket?
I didn't try those suits. But, at that age he was mostly in our arms. We had a cool float thing with a canopy. He went in it for a while but, then wanted out.
This year he will be two and we are getting a life jacket that he will probably wear most of the time in my Mom's backyard. He is obsessed with the pool and I think he will fall in 1,000 times.
But, i am going to a marine store to get one with straps for between the legs. The ones at TRu don't have them and I think he would slip right out of it.

Re: tube/life jacket?
Depending on their weight, the tube with canopy will be a good thing for them. That is what we used all last summer with my oldest DS.
This year we bought him a life vest for $26 at Walmart (Trish, it has one leg strap) considering he will be walking around the pool a lot now that he is 2. THe one we got was for 30-50lbs.
For DS#2, we are getting him a life vest also because he is 24lbs & will be 1 in July but since he is not walking, we are not as concerned with him falling into the pool. The floats do not work for him bc most of a weight limit of 25lbs
