***** TTC Statistics for our board *****
Hey girls, I feel dorky for doing this but I like to look at the 2WW threads at the end of every month and see what percentage of girls got pregnant! I figured I would share the news with everyone or is that depressing? It actually makes me feel better because I realize that there really is SUCH a small chance to get pregnant every month. And remember, everyone is using different methods…some are just winging it whereas others are temping and using OPK's - so this could affect or skew the numbers.
What do you think? If you like it - I can update this thread at the end of every month. So just a reminder - everyone in the 2WW please remember to update that main 2WW thread bc that is where I pull the #'s from! I only base it off of the girls who respond with a  or a  - if people forget to respond I don't include them in #'s
August 2010……….24% of us got pregnant (9 of 37)
September 2010….13% of us got pregnant (4 of 31)
October 2010………26% of us got pregnant (10 of 39)
November 2010…..16% of us got pregnant (7 of 45)
December 2010…...29% of us got pregnant (10 of 34)
January 2011………15% of us got pregnant (6 of 40)
February 2011.......25% of us got pregnant (9 of 36)
March 2011...........34% of us got pregnant (12 of 35) - HIGHEST # YET!
April 2011.............21% of us got pregnant (6 of 28)
May 2011.............18% of us got pregnant (7 of 38)
OVERALL AVERAGE over the last 10 months = 22.1%
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!!

Puts a realistic spin on it and makes you realize a BFP is less likely then a BFN!

Yes omg you are so right! Sometimes it seems like everyone is getting a BFP but me, when really it was only 10 of 45 type deal. Ofcourse, I am always happy for the BFP's - but makes me feel better to know I am not alone in the BFN category.

I like this, too. Puts it into perspective! Especially when my friend told me she is preggo this week with #2 and conceived both her kids on first try! I'm happy for her but also jealous that she can decide to be pregnant and basically snap her fingers and get the job done!

Oh my gosh  . My DH is a Psychology professor, and teaches statistics every semester. He would think you're the coolest person ever .

LOL! I am no braniac stats person or anything but I was am always just curious every month and do a quick calculation, haha!

I think this is great! Thanks for doing this... I would love to see it monthly if it's not too much work.

This IS great!! The only problem is that the results are slightly skewed because not everyone that posts about their BFP is on the TTW list. But it's still cool that you put this together

I think she is only using the list. That is why she said to make sure we update the list with our status.

i was thinking the same thing because I haven't been adding myself to the TWW list since I have long, irregular cycles. I know other girls dont put themselves on that list either. But I think if she is just using the people who have updated that list, then it gives a pretty fair estimate.
