Ttc dilemma
Hi ladies,
I am not ttc right now, but my husband and I have discussed ttc in late summer/early fall.
My problem is that I suffer from severe ppmd and I don't want to take anti-depressants as it only affects me for a few days up to a week or two max per month.
I know yaz will basically cure the ppmd as it has in the past, but I'm afraid to start birth control now only a few months before ttc.
I'm also 35 so taking birth control again kinda scares me.
I know I should and will speak to my dr at greater length regarding my problem, but I was hoping for a little feedback/support as well.
Thanks for reading.

Re: Ttc dilemma
I dont really have any advice but I have had ppmd issues before and Yaz really helped. If you're going to start TTC in the summer, why not take it for a few months so you can feel good during that time? It's really horrible, I know.

Re: Ttc dilemma
Maybe I will. I have my period now, so I can start a cycle this Sunday and just see if it helps.
Ppmd really does suck.
Thanks for your response.

Re: Ttc dilemma
I take anti-depressants for a different reason. Dr says they are safe to take during pregnancy if I decide to- so they should be safe to take while TTC too. I would choose that over going on BCP (I am 37). I would be more fearful of the BCP screwing up my cycle, making it more difficult TTC. Good luck- its a tough choice to have to make.

Re: Ttc dilemma
Thanks for your reply. I spoke to my husband and he doesn't want me to go back on BC. He's afraid we won't be able to conceive and we're getting old. (I don't think I'm THAT old, but I see where he's coming from.)
I'm going to see my Dr on Tues and talk to him about it.
Thanks for the support/sharing.

If you don't mind me asking, which anti-depressants are you on? You can FM me if you like, thanks
