ttc and moving oos

I kind of already asked this on the family board. But anyone now considering moving oos bc they want a family. Dh bought it up this past weekend that he would live moving to nc to be in our 5-10yr plan.

And I am seriously considering it bc our salaries would most likely carry down, mine hopefully bc I would stay with my current company and work from home, I could actually see my kids not just on weekend, real estate and taxes are so much cheaper and I can go on and on. Only pitfall is friends and family are here but the 2 areas we are looking into have some friends and some family.

Anyone else?

DH wants to move OOS since his parents are in PA and now his sis is going upstate but, all my family is here and they are the ones that will always help us out. So Im not moving unless it is something really big and good for us.

We want to move to NC!! Hopefully in a little over a year. Yes, we could get a bigger, nicer home for less than what we pay now for our mortgage and much cheaper taxes, and be by the ocean, which I MISS so much (I now live upstate NY, but I miss living by the sound on LI SO much). We are actually taking a trip down next month to check out some neighborhoods, schools etc

I love NY and I would hate to leave but it is soooo expensive to live here. If we had a really good opportunity and it was the right place at the right time, I would probably move. But I'm not sure if that will ever happen for us.

we wouldnt move...both DH & I have all of our family in NYC. i see how hard it is for my other friends who have moved, they dont have the same support system with the kids. i know its all a sacrifice you do so that you can provide more for your children but for us its not an option.
