Traveling with infants..sleeping arrangements
My grandmother is very ill and the drs don't expect her to last much longer. Me, my husband, and my twin babies will be flying to FL for a few days. We will be staying with family member what should I do about sleeping arrangements? They are 9 1/2 months old. What should we do?

We have the baby bjorn travel crib we fly with. It's super lightweight and fits in a big suitcase so you can pack other stuff in the suitcase.
There's also a company in south Florida you can rent cribs and pnp. Just would bring your own sheets for obvious reasons.

I would see if the relative there can ask around about borrowing a pnp or two. Lots of parents and grandparents have them and don't use them regularly. I know I've lent mine out more than once and my mom has been able to borrow them in the past when needed.

Re: Traveling with infants..sleeping arrangements
Thanks I am thinking ahead so I am prepared when she passes. Where do I buy the baby bjorn crib? Looking to see if there was a travel one that would fit in a suitcase. We would need 2.
I will be traveling to Beverly Hills, Florida. Do you know the name of the company the rents them out?

I'd try to borrow one first. Same with the carseat.
If not, buy everything in FL, not here. That way, you don't have to carry it there (just back).

If you do look to rent, google rent a crib in Florida and a ton of baby rental places come up.

I would probably just suck it up and buy a cheap pnp. You can find one at walmart for like $40. Even if you need two if you're there a week it's worth it.

FYI you can rent car seats from the State police in FL
https://babysaway.com/
They are in Tampa and Ocala. so I am sure you can figure something out with them.
2 Hrs from Tampa is not that far up there.

If you're buying something online - ask your family if youi can have it shipped to their home so you don't have to travel down w/ it.
Try OneStepAhead.com too -

Re: Traveling with infants..sleeping arrangements
Defintely google places to rent cribs. I stayed in central florida and was able to rent a full-sized crib for my DS when we stayed with family. (the place closed or I'd recommend them). Call different places. Orlando is 2 hours from Tampa and lots of places deliver around the Orlando area.
ETA: Just looked at the map. Looks like Ocala is near Beverly Hills. Maybe you can find a company that works out of Ocala. GL! Sorry about your grandmother.

Re: Traveling with infants..sleeping arrangements
We always used the Baby Bjorn travel lite crib. I have an old Lucas luggage bag and it fits inside the large one and you can still pack clothes in there too.
But we travel a decent amount, so we have definitely gotten a lot of use out of the travel crib. If you don't travel often or plan to in the future I would just buy a very inexpensive pnp (or 2!).

I prefer the bjorn travel crib over that one.
