Infants sleeping on their belly...
My daughter just turned 5 month and has rolled 2 times so far, both while she was sleeping (from her back to her belly). She then fell asleep like that. I've put her "back to sleep" every night since she's born but now with this new 'talent' she's calling the shots, is it ok to let her sleep on her belly when she flips herself over or should I roll her on to her back again whenever I wake up and find her that way???

ITA once they start rolling over and they have good head control you can't really do anything about it. My DS1 has been a belly sleeper since he started rolling at 4 months. My 5 1/2 month old now was rolling earlier than DS1, but he doesn't ever roll at night. Just during the day. He's a back sleeper so far

This is what the doctors tell you. If the baby is strong enough to get in that position herself, she can lift her head up to breathe or cry if she has trouble.

Yup. My DD sleeps on her belly every single night and it's what is comfortable for her since about 4 mos, when she started rolling over.
